Well, it’s fun for backyard parties — give your guests a shovel and a piece of meat and let them cook their own food around a fire pit. Definitely memorable and something they’ll be telling everyone about. There’s also a practical application, too. If you’re ever in survival situation, you can always use a folding camping shovel as a field expedient frying pan.
