Comment Policy

If you're new to The Art of Manliness, you may want to sign up for a daily dose of manliness either by email or by RSS. You may also want to check out our free e-book on how to be a gentleman in 2008. Thanks for visiting and don't forget to man up!

On The Art of Manliness we encourage discussion. It’s our goal to create a community of readers who are actively engaged with the site. To ensure that the discussion stays civil and on point, we have established the following comment policy.

We do not pre-moderate any comments and welcome all kinds of thoughts, supportive, dissenting, critical or otherwise.

We do not delete or censor comments unless they have content that:

  • is abusive
  • is off-topic
  • makes spelling or grammatical corrections (if you’d like to correct us, please use the contact form)
  • contains ad-hominem attacks
  • promotes hate of any kind
  • uses excessively foul language
  • is blatantly spam

We reserve the right to ban commenters who fragrantly or repeatedly abuse the comment section.

All comments are filtered through spam filtering technology; the kind we use varies over time, but we are currently using a combination of Akismet and Spam Karma 2. The spam-filtering technology isn’t perfect, and from time to time it flags legitimate emails (false positives).

If you find that your comment isn’t immediately showing up, it may have been erroneously flagged as spam. Please email us at editor@blogherald.com to follow up on the status of your comment if it hasn’t shown up after 24 hours and we will do our best to sort it out.
