I was blessed to have known Gen. Yeager’s wing man Paul Fairweather and hear his stories of glory. If not for Fairweather, Yeager would have been dead long ago and in not for Yeager, Fairweather would have never made it out of WWII.

I really need to read these books again. Yeager has been one of my long-time heros, as a pilot and a man.

This is an awesome post! Yeager is a great example of what a real man should do when rules and policies come in the way of what a man genuinely wants to do. I’ve bent the rules many times because I wanted to do what I thought felt was right. Yeager’s persistence and values are a great example for men.
