As far as boots go i have had one pair that ive worn from high school all the way through college. These boots survived beer drenched college bar floors, 6 chicago winters, and they muddy farmlands of eastern croatia when I went their this past summer. Sadly they were not made to last, which i why i wish i had a pair of Wolverine 1000. I wouldn’t treat them differently from my last pair but hopefully they would be the last pair i ever needed.

If I won the Wolverine 1,000 Mile Boots, I would walk through the inner workings of the oldest commercial nuclear power plant in the country. I would pump out 650 Megawatts of carbon free energy 24 hours a day, 365 days a year knowing that my feet carried me in rugged, manly style.

My boyfriend of 8 years has been looking for a good boot as long as we’ve been together. He’s lived in rough country, worked hard, been across the US and back…but his next big step is to use his civil engineering degree to change people’s lives around the world, for the better. He doesn’t know I’m entering this, but if I win I know he’ll get a lifetime of wear out of them (and look good, to boot).

I would wear these boots out! Those look like the ultimate hiking boot and if I win them they will never see concrete or pavement. They will hit the hunting trail this fall and the fishing stream this spring.

I am a petroleum landman and, as a result, spend a fair amount of time in county courthouses, law offices and family farms. I need a pair of boots that’ll not only wear well on the courthouse steps, but stand up to a tromp through someone’s back forty as well. The Wolverine 1000 exemplifies classic style in addition to practical utility.

My buddy’s family has some land in New Haven, KY, in bourbon country of Nelson County. We walked this property for 2 hours last weekend, and are dying to do it again. I’d wear those boots in the beautiful Kentucky woods as much as I could.

When I finish college in a year I plan on taking a backpacking trip. Although no route is definite yet, I am thinking of beginning the journey by leaving my home town of Lincoln NE and heading west toward San Diego. From there I want to head south.

I wore the same pair of Wolverine work boots for four years daily on the construction jobsite and for property surveys; I only recently retired them in favor of more fashionable footwear after moving into the office (I still wear them hunting and hiking).

I work in a manufacturing plant as an engineer. In that position, I not only have to go out into the plant for both lines over 1000 yards long a piece and wear appropriate footwear daily. Also, have to run meetins in a more corporate setting where dressing appropriately and not like a schmuck is a must. The wolverine boot provides both functionality and aesthitic appeal.

I’d wear’em with my Paramedic school uniform, provided they’re in black.

Or, once they’re broken in and I’m finished my studies, I’d use’em to scramble a mountain I’ve been meaning to climb.
