OK, a little investigative research: how does the Burt’s bees case stay unscratched bouncing around with all that metal in it? And, I agree with the props for the jar of change, but how does he fold the desk to fit in his pocket?

Yep, that all fits in my pockets, it’s really not all that much stuff though weekends generally I wont bother with the p-38 and mini tool but that’s my usual pocket stuff. I frequently have my mandolin with me and after spending a fortune on lost picks (well a fortune to a New England yankee anyway) decided it was just as good and much cheaper to use home made I had just managed to squeeze three “new” ones from a shaws store card the week prior. And the only thing that gives me trouble keeping my pants up is the jar of change.
My deepest thanks to W.R Case and Sons and The Art of Manliness, this will truly be treasured.

Gentlemen, the purpose of this post is to congratulate the winner, not to disparage his win by claiming that he doesn’t actually carry this stuff in his pockets or that’s he wrong for doing so if he does. Every man has his own ways of doing things. I have no doubt that if he says he carries this stuff in his pockets, than he does. Please lose with grace and show the guy some respect.

Exactly what is the point of carrying two (four?) big coins which either can’t or won’t be spent along with you? And a can-opener, a baby pliers (both all but useless), and a fold-up marlin spike? Exactly what page of Moby Dick did this guy step out of? A single Leatherman would probably do better and not wear pockets out every week. Also, that watch-carabiner thing probably goes on his beltloop, not in his pocket.

He carries all of that in his pockets? I find that hard to believe. Surely, he uses a man-bag of some sort. How can so much fit in pockets? Does he wear cargo pants all the time?

I had no idea they were picking a favorite–I thought it would be random selection.

If I would have known they were picking their favorite, I would have taken a picture with all kinds of crap that I supposedly “carry every day” too to increase my chances.

Oh well. Lesson learned.
