Many thanks to all of you who entered the West Coast Shaving Set Giveaway Contest. We were flooded with entries; there are apparently a lot of men out there who are chomping at the bit to shave like their grandpas. Be sure and check out the contest thread; with 372 tips on shaving, it’s a virtual treasure trove of awesome and manly shaving advice. Big thanks also goes out to my wife Kate, who painstakingly put each and every one of your email addresses into a spreadsheet as I studied for finals.
Of course there can only be one winner and that winner, who was randomly selected from all of the entries, is………David K. Hale, a fellow Okie and law student who currently resides in Norman, OKlahoma. Dave informs me that he’s been without proper shaving equipment for some time as his brother absconded with their dad’s shaving gear. So we’re glad Dave will be putting the shaving kit to good use. Congrats Dave!
If you didn’t win the contest, you can still be a champ by ceasing to procrastinate your entrance into the manly wet shaving ritual and buying yourself a shaving kit all of your own. Drop by West Coast Shaving and take the plunge.

Congrats, David! Wet-shaving with a double-edged razor has changed my life, hopefully it can do the same with you. I really enjoy my badger hair brush, so much better than the junk (rat hair?) they sell at the local wal-mart.
Congrats to the winner!
And take a look at badgerandblade.com for lots of great shaving advice (and a great community to boot).
Westcoastshaving.com is a great operation, and the owner is the reason why – a great guy!
Congratulations to the winner…I wanted to read his winning tip but i couldn’t find it by searching his name in the other post… under which alias was he posting?
I looks forward to using my new gear. As for the winning tip, I didn’t have one.
I entered the contest by referring my brother to it… yes the one who didn’t want to give up our dad’s shaving gear.
I have now added a stand for my razor and brush to my Christmas wish list.
Congrats, Dave.
