@Uncle Buzz

If you were that close to the USMC lanyard, I predict a slight change in your workout routine that will ensure you don't miss your next opportunity.

I salute your fitness. Sadly, I couldn't come close to your 14.75 despite my age advantage. Maybe I need to change that.

Yep, the fair was a good time. Believe it or not, the cliental was much more cultivated at a Vermont fair. If I squinted a little, I may have thought that we had stumbled into the Renaissance Faire happening at the same time. They had deep fried pickles during the Middle Ages, didnt they?

I like Chris's quote from his fiance. Reminds me of what a friend of mine once said: "I love going to Wal-mart, it makes me feel like a superstar!"

Brett, take heart. You outweigh me by 50lbs, and it's not blubber. If I strapped a 50lb sandbag to my chest and tried to do pull ups, it wouldnt be pretty. Pull-ups are all about body weight. I'm forever going to regret only being able to do 14 3/4, and not getting to earn the coveted USMC lanyard for doing 15. But I got to eye level with the bar on that last one, and "that's all she wrote, and there ain't no more."

Speaking of unhealthy foods, I brought back a mess o' Moon Pies to VT to share with my co-workers at an upcoming staff meeting. Can't get 'em up North here. (Of course, they'd be better washed down with RC Cola, but those dang airline rules precluded that.) My PC co-workers will sneer at the Moon Pies, but "reluctantly" scarf 'em down, just you wait!

Another Tulsa? That's cool. We took our kids last week to the fair and one of the rides they were one was next to the half-lady and half-snake booth. My daughter (who is 6) thought it was real and wanted to go into the booth. I explained how it was all fake and a little more innocence went away.

Still I wonder what was in the cage. Anyone check it out?
